Monsoon Claims 18 Lives Across Pakistan Since Late June; Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Worst Hit as Heavy Rain Continues
At least 18 people have been killed and 41 injured across Pakistan since the onset of the 2026 monsoon in late June, according to the National Disaster Management Authority. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has recorded the highest casualties, with deaths caused by house collapses, flash floods, and lightning strikes. The NDMA reports 88 houses damaged and 163 livestock killed; heavy rain is forecast to continue across multiple regions.
