Pakistan's monsoon death toll has passed 100, reaching 107 since the season opened on June 26, after ten more deaths in 24 hours — seven in Punjab and three in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The NDMA attributes the fatalities principally to house collapses, electrocution and drowning, and more rain is expected in the country's upper parts from July 29.

Pakistan's nationwide monsoon death toll has jumped to 72 since the season began — up from 53 on July 22 — as a second monsoon spell brought relentless rains to Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. KP has recorded 41 deaths this season, Punjab 19, AJK seven and Balochistan five. The second spell is expected to continue through July 24. President Asif Ali Zardari has directed all federal, provincial and local authorities to intensify coordinated preparedness, rescue and relief measures as Pakistan enters what he described as a "critical phase" of the monsoon season.

Monsoon-related flash floods and windstorms killed at least nine people across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab on July 19–20, during the active phase of the PMD's July 18–25 nationwide forecast. In the single most devastating incident, a tourist boat capsized at Saifullah Lake in Swat, killing all six members of the same family aboard. Seven people were killed in KP from flash floods and structural collapses; two more died in Punjab as walls, roofs and billboards fell across multiple districts.

Heavy monsoon rains intensified across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on July 18–19, the first active days of the Pakistan Meteorological Department's July 18–25 nationwide forecast. Flash flooding was reported in local streams and nullahs in KP consistent with PMD warnings. Northeastern Balochistan — including Zhob, Kohlu, Sibi and Khuzdar districts, several of which are also active Operation Shaban zones — faces its heaviest rainfall from the evening of July 19 through July 23. More than 90 people have been killed in rain-related incidents since late June.

At least 90 people have been killed in rain-related incidents since late June as Pakistan's monsoon season intensifies, with the National Disaster Management Authority issuing a fresh flash flood alert for parts of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan through July 17. At least seven people were killed and 33 injured in KP after houses collapsed in heavy rain and high winds. Pakistan faces the monsoon season with relief capacity already stretched by Operation Shaban and the AJK unrest.

Heavy monsoon rains lashed Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, and other cities across Pakistan on July 12 as the National Disaster Management Authority upgraded to a nationwide flood and landslide alert. The Pakistan Meteorological Department has warned that this monsoon season is projected to bring 22 to 26 percent more rainfall than 2025, when more than 1,000 people were killed nationwide. Urban flooding risks are elevated in low-lying areas of major cities; landslide alerts cover KPK, AJK, and Gilgit-Baltistan through July 14.

Landslide warnings cover Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Azad Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan through July 14, and NDMA has asked non-essential travellers and tourists to avoid trips to northern Pakistan until the weather system passes.
