PSX closes under flood fears, overturning pressure
The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) ended Thursday’s meeting with a light dip as the traders stayed on the sidelines in a mixture of domestic and external pressures. The KSE-100 index gave 151 points to close at 147,344, reflecting the lack of clear direction during a week dominated by contract reversals. Investors remained careful after concerns about the flood risks to agriculture in Punjab and a mute growth prospects marked by the Central Bank. The softest prices of crude oil internationally and the volatility associated with the overthrow added to the hesitation of investors, maintaining overall activity under control.
