Confirmation of ACP Pradyuman’s death on the popular Indian Cid television show sent shockwaves via Fanbase, causing anger on social media platforms.

The character, depicted by veteran actress Shivaji Satam since 1998, was killed in a recent episode, with news confirmed by Sony TV in a social media position late on Saturday.

In the episode, the character of the ACP Pradyuman was killed in an explosion during a tense meeting with the criminal Barboza, played by Tigmanshu Dhulia.

Death did not appear immediately, leaving the fans uncertain as to whether the virtual police officer had really met his end. However, the position shared by Sony TV made the announcement of an official, marking the end of an era on Indian television.

The post described an image of ACP Pradyuman with the message, “In the favorite memory of ACP Pradyuman … a loss that will never be forgotten”, and the text: “End of an ACP Pradyuman era (1998-2025)”.

The announcement has triggered emotions from long -term spectators, many of whom have grown up with the show.

A fan mourned: “It is not tearing in ACP Pradyuman, it is a RIP in the Cid, and RIP on Sony TV, with this heartless motion, you didn’t just finish one character, you have a legacy buried.”

The character of ACP Pradyuman, known for his strong leadership, his sharp mind and the unforgettable phrase “Kuch to Gadbad Hai”, was a key element of the Cid for over two decades, making him a domestic name. The show, first aired in 1998, has become one of the longest and most beloved crime thrillers in Indian television history.

While many fans are upset about the sudden and unexpected departure of their favorite character, others question whether this is really the end for the ACP Pradyuman.

The last moments of the character were groomed with uncertainty, with death not explicitly appearing on the screen, leaving room for speculation. “This nonsense … ACP Pradyuman is alive and will return,” a fan insisted on denial.

Shivaji Satam, who has depicted ACP Pradyuman for 27 years, talked about the news, telling Bombay Times that he was ignoring the collapse of character. “I have no idea of this. I’ve taken a break for some time and manufacturers know what’s ahead for the show, if my track is over. I’m okay with it, but they didn’t tell me if my track is over or not,” Satam said. He added that he was currently on vacation and had not been informed of future shooting plans for the CID.

While the news of ACP Pradyuman’s death caused frustration between the fans, there is still a sense of hope that the character can return.
