Press club Umerkot elects office bearers

UMERKOT: Ghulam Muhammad Kunbhar and A B Arisar were elected president and general secretary along their entire pannel Qalam Dost unopposed for the Umerkot Press Club, respectively, for the 2022-23 term. The election committee formed by a general body comprised of chairman Syed Rehan Shabir Shah, members Naheed Hussain Khattak and Rasool Bux Khaskheli oversaw the entire process of a week long. Including nominations, objections and declaring of successful panel. One Qalam dost panel received nomination papers on 19th October, but none came forward to contest against them or file objections. Therefore election committee issued a notification of successful candidates.

ISLAMABAD: Of the 6.4 million people in need of humanitarian assistance following the Monsoon rains, floods, and landslides in Pakistan, more than 1.6 million are women of childbearing age. 5000 non-functional schools of Sindh to be closed soon: Minister

UMERKOT: Provincial minister culture, tourism, antiquities and education, Syed Sardar Ali Shah has said that 5000 schools of Sindh including 450 of district Umerkot are being shut which were only functioning in records.
