India has blocked more than twelve Pakistani YouTube channels after being covered at the Pahalgam incident.

The channels reported the Pahalgam attack and had been exposed to the Modi government’s narrative on the events, urging the Indian authorities to accuse the Pakistani channels of the spread of “misleading and provocative contents”.

Other affected channels include independent platforms of journalists and thematic channels.

The Indian authorities claimed that these channels were distributed misleading information against the Indian government and the military, although no public examples were mentioned.

Collectively, forbidden channels were based on a subscriber exceeding about 66 million.
