Warner Bros finds his groove with horror and humor

Los Angeles:

In just six months, Warner Bros has gone through Hollywood’s bitter giant, reportedly referred to a leadership change in industry’s hottest studio – and the rumored target of a $ 70 billion acquisition.

With a series of boxes of offices, they break up such as “Superman”, “A Minecraft movie” and “Sinners” -Plus the recognized “Learning After another” starring Leonardo DiCaprio -warner Bros Discovery’s Division was the first studio to hit $ 4 billion in box office.

This is a dramatic recovery from just in March, when Warner was unfolded by expensive flops such as’Mickey 17 ‘and his high profile, rounded’ Joker ‘sequel.

“We are doing our role,” Michael De Luca said in an interview with Bloomberg Screentime Sciendime in Los Angeles on Thursday that Trade Press was named “Lap Victory Lap”. “When there is a good run in a studio, the morale is high,” he said.

Famous Cinephiles de Luca and his colleague Pamela Abdy’s studio had gone through Warner’s smallest MGM opponent in 2022.

This week their contracts were renewed. “We cannot deal with speculation and rumors and all these things,” Abdy said. “All I can say is, David, Mike and I had the privilege of seeing all these movies early. We knew what we had with filmmakers and these stories and we couldn’t wait for the public to see them.”

Having opponents such as Disney and Universal in recent years, Warner had nine films that opened at the top of Box Office charts this year – more than any other studio. This list included “weapons”, one of the many horror blows hit by Warner this year, at a time when the kind of flourishing with the flourishing has been frustrating in the opponent studios.

Other hits Warner included doses in two long franchises: “final destination” and “The Conjuring”. De Luca attributed the success to bring in “fresh and innovative” ideas, such as injection of more humor to the universe of the final destination.

“With franchises that are particularly long in the tooth. You really have to innovate in the genre,” De Luca said. “None of them had phoned. None of them were a bunch of executives in a room they say ‘milk this franchise’.

Sudden success has come to a turbulent time for Parent Corporation Warner Bros Discovery, the product of a 2022 merger with Discovery. In June, Zaslav announced that the business was separated again, dividing the rising flow and films from reduced television channels. This has been called into question by a potentially even greater agreement.

In what would be the latest and most amazing game of Hollywood’s music chairs, Warner has targeted Paramount-acquired by the Billionaire Tech family of Oracle Larry Ellison, the second wealthy man in the world.

Larry David Ellison’s son, Paramount’s new CEO, refused to comment on the rumored offer on Thursday, but said “there are many options out there that can be activated in the near future”. He also made the case of escalation to produce “more movies, more television series” for consumers.

“There will always be speculation in our business – we are in a time of mass disorder,” Abdy said. “You can’t focus on it.”
