A bright, white smile is often regarded as a sign of good health and trust. But for many, yellow teeth remain a frustrating problem, even with normal brushing. Now, a top dentist has revealed that common brush errors could make the issue worse than better.

Dr. Ferakh Hamid of Aesthetique Dental Care warns that two daily habits can contribute to discoloration, preventing people from achieving a foamy smile. The good news? Are easy to fix.

Wrong 1: Brushing with dry toothbrush

Many believe that the use of a dry toothbrush helps toothpaste to work more effectively. However, Dr. Hamid explains that this is a myth. A dry toothbrush can be very hard in the enamel and does not allow the toothpaste to spread evenly, reducing cleaning power.

“Before you start brushing, Brecca toothbrush helps you slightly toothpaste to be more effectively distributed to your teeth, making a better clean,” advises Dr. Hamid.

A simple water launch before brushing can help protect the enamel and enhance the effectiveness of the brushing routine.

Wrong 2: Brushing very soon after eating

The time is important when it comes to brushing. Many people brush immediately after eating, especially after eating acidic foods or drinks such as fruit juice, faint drinks or citrus fruits. However, this can really cause more harm than good.

“Acid foods temporarily soften the enamel, making it more vulnerable to damage. Brushing can immediately wear this protective layer, leading to increased staining over time,” warns Dr. Hamid.

Instead, it recommends wait at least one hour after eating before brushing. In the meantime, rinse it with water or sugar -free sting can help eliminate acids and protect your teeth.

Minor changes, large impacts

By making these simple adjustments – pass your toothbrush and waiting before brushing after meals – you can protect your enamel and maintain a whiter, healthier smile.
