Diesel imports in September cost $140 million

Islamabad: Despite having excess oil reserves that provide a 45-day supply, Pakistan is expected to see an outflow of $140 million due to the import of high-speed diesel (HSD) scheduled for September. According to sources, importing 50,000 metric tons of HSD costs an average of about $38 million. With September imports estimated at 183,000 metric tons, they will lead to an outflow of $140 million. The approval of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) loan program has already been delayed due to Pakistan’s external financing gap, so the government should be quite prudent in spending its foreign exchange reserves. Equestrian companies are exclusively looking for SOPs

KARACHI: Acting as Online Marketplaces (OMPs), transportation service providers with technology companies have demanded that the government ensure proper regulations for the emerging horse riding industry. They advocate for standard practices, reasonable taxation and fair competition, alongside the rehabilitation of damaged road infrastructure. These measures would benefit customers as well as users and service providers. Transport sector reforms and load shedding

LAHORE: The electrical load shedding has been returning for the past two weeks. Urban areas see about four to five hours of load shedding, while the situation is worse in rural areas. The demand for electricity is about 14,500 megawatts while the system produces about 10,000 MW of electricity. The huge production deficit is observed despite very high reliable capacity and low economic growth.
