Rs0.08 per unit increase to hit electricity bills in October
The National Electricity Regulatory Authority approved an increase in RS0.08 per unit at electricity prices below the monthly fuel cost adjustment for August 2025. According to a notification issued by Nepra on Tuesday, adaptation will apply to consumers throughout Pakistan, including those served by K-Electric, in accordance with government policy guidelines. The regulator said the additional charge would be collected in October accounts. The Central Energy Market Organization (CPPA) had previously requested an increase in RS0.19 per unit to adjust the same month.
