Pakistan's Permanent Representative to the United Nations told the Security Council on July 2 that Islamabad had intensified diplomatic efforts to prevent further escalation in the Gulf following Iranian missile and drone attacks on US military sites in Kuwait and Bahrain. Pakistan condemned the strikes, expressed solidarity with the GCC countries, and said it was continuing to facilitate dialogue and confidence-building measures through its role as a co-mediator of the Islamabad MoU.
