Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi announced on July 18 that Tehran was suspending all commitments under the Pakistan-brokered Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding, citing 50 deaths and more than 500 injuries from US strikes since July 6. The announcement followed the eighth consecutive night of US military operations targeting Iran, and came as Iran struck water and power infrastructure in Kuwait. The Islamabad MoU, signed in June to avert all-out war, is now effectively non-operative.
