Two terrorists killed in DI Khan operation: ISPR

RAWALPINDI: Two terrorists were killed during an exchange of fire with security forces in the Kulachi area of Dera Ismail Khan district, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said. According to the military’s media affairs wing, on August 10, an improvised explosive device (IED) exploded on a police vehicle in the area. “The army’s Quick Reaction Force immediately reached and cordoned off the site,” it stated. Resultantly, an exchange of fire took place with terrorists in which two militants were killed. “Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the site,” it added.

Foreign vlogger gang-raped in Dera Ghazi Khan

DERA GHAZI KHAN: A US national woman was gang-raped by her “guide” and his two accomplices at tribal area tourist resort Fort Munro in Dera Ghazi Khan district. The foreigner — who is a TikToker — was allegedly gang-raped at a hotel during her visit to the tourist site. According to the DG Khan deputy commissioner, both suspects were arrested within eight hours of the incident. Five policemen martyred in rocket attack in Dera Ismail Khan

Five police cops were martyred in a rocket attack carried out by terrorists in Dera Ismail Khan District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Monday. Terrorists carried out a rocket attack on a police van near Chowk Yadgar of Dera Ismail Khan’s Kulachi city. Five cops were martyred in the rocket attack, whereas, the deputy superintendent of police (DSP) Kulachi Fazal Subhan sustained serious wounds. According to the police officials, terrorists fired a rocket on the police van and later resorted to heavy firing. The terrorists managed to flee from the scene after the fierce attack, added police.

33 passengers killed in horrific accident between bus and trailer in DG Khan

DG KHAN: As many as 33 people died and several were injured as a passenger bus and trailer collide at Taunsa road near Dera Ghazi Khan. An over speeding bus heading from Daska to Rajanpur collided with a trailer near the Jhok Yar Shah area on Taunsa road resulting in the deaths of 33 people. Rescue teams reached the scene and have started shifting the injured to the teaching hospital in Dera Ghazi Khan.
