Two Arrested After Woman Found Dead at Rawalpindi Home, Police Investigate

Police have arrested two suspects after a woman was found dead under suspicious circumstances at her residence in Rawalpindi’s Lalkurti area, as investigators continue to probe the circumstances surrounding her death. The suspects have been identified as the victim’s husband and a domestic worker. The woman’s father-in-law has also been nominated in the case but has not yet been arrested, according to the victim’s family. The incident occurred within the jurisdiction of Civil Lines Police Station. Police said the victim, identified as Hina, was found dead in a bathroom at her home. She had been married for approximately nine months.

Norway’s top prosecuting authority has dismissed the 16-year-old corruption case against Norwegian-Pakistani businessman Umar Farooq Zahoor, citing a lack of sufficient evidence to prove corruption and wrongdoing. Four Bodies Recovered After Broad Peak Avalanche as Search Continues for Missing Climbers
