Minister for National Health Services, Regulations, and Coordination Abdul Qadir Patel says effective measures are being taken to ensure an uninterrupted supply of medicines in the country. In a statement, he said all necessary arrangements have been made in this regard. The Minister said there would be no compromise on the prices of medicines keeping in view its burden on patients.

Minister for National Health Services Abdul Qadir Patel says in view of the global Covid-19 pandemic situation, the Central Health Establishment will be strengthened to enhance its functionality. The Minister has advised all provinces and regions to administer booster doses to the people to further improve protection against COVID-19 transmission. He also emphasized the importance of precautions, including social distancing and mask-wearing, especially in crowded places. The Minister highlighted the need to strictly follow the guidelines for management of markets.

Pakistan and the United States will hold the first ever Health Dialogue in Washington today [Monday], to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the health sector. A four-member delegation of Pakistan led by Minister for National Health Services Abdul Qadir Patel has arrived in Washington to participate in the first-ever US-Pakistan Health Dialogue. Ambassador Masood Khan and other officials of the Pakistan Embassy will be joining the delegation. United States will host the delegation at the US State Department tomorrow.
