On this track, Jafri revisits a song that has traveled with him since his early days as a performer
Singer and composer Samar Jafri is back with his latest single, Chalo Door Kahinwhich was released last week. The song is a ballad that captures the quiet longing to escape the noise of the world and find peace with someone who feels like home.
Combining stripped down acoustic melodies with Jafri’s vocals, the track evokes a sense of nostalgia that has become synonymous with his sound. The song’s progression reflects the emotional pull between closeness and distance.
The music video is set in a beach house that follows Jaffrey as he drifts between moments of solitude and creative reflection, writing, erasing and revisiting his thoughts as the sea stretches out before him. Black and white breaks add to the video’s dreamlike quality.
For Jaffrey, Chalo Door Kahin it’s a song that’s been a part of his journey since the beginning. He performed it live at many shows before recording it. Most recently, during his concert in Abbottabad in September, where he sang all the originals live on stage for the first time and announced his upcoming release. Written years ago, the track was originally intended to be his debut single, but Jafri chose to wait for the right moment, shaped by the growth and love he has received from his listeners.
This release follows his original singles Mary Ho and Hoorayalong with his contribution to the hit drama Freakish. Earlier this month, Spotify announced Samar Jafri as RADAR Pakistan Artist for Q4 2025, aiming to release a mini-documentary exploring his creative journey, inspirations and defining moments as an artist.
Chalo Door Kahin It is written, composed and performed by Jafri, with music production by Alistair Alvin and video direction, editing and photography by Arqam Junaid Ghani.
