ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed has said that Indian agency RAW, Afghanistan’s National Directorate of Security (NDS) and Israel are behind terrorism in Pakistan.
While talking to the media on Monday, Rasheed said that those causing disruption will be defeated. “The passport of Nawaz Sharif has been cancelled. He has two options – either to seek political asylum or file an appeal,” he maintained.
The minister said that someone stated that Shehbaz Sharif’s arrest will cause tumult. “I say there was complete silence when Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was hanged,” he added.
He said that 90 per cent of fencing of the Pak-Afghan border had been completed. “A lot of work is stopped due to closure of the Chaman border. We are introducing the modern patrolling system,” he maintained.
Sheikh Rasheed said that no hurdle will be tolerated in the CPEC project.
The Minister said that the Pakistani nation was standing with their Kashmiri brethren and the CPEC.
Sharing an update on the investigation into the alleged abduction of the Afghan Ambassador’s daughter, the minister said that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs would share the update as the Afghan team was gone back on August 8.
“We provided the investigation details to the Afghan team via Pakistan’s Foreign Office,” he added.
Sheikh Rasheed said that the interior ministry has asked all provinces to take strict security measures in the Muharram ul Haram.
