Osman Khalid Butt, Asim Azhar, Hasan Raheem want you to vote

In a concerted effort to encourage citizen participation, actor Osman Khalid Butt and singers Hasan Raheem and Asim Azhar took to their respective social media platforms urging Pakistani citizens to exercise their right to vote in the upcoming election cycle.

Asim, through his Instagram Story, called on his colleagues, public figures and celebrities to support the importance of voting. He emphasized the need for awareness and encouraged everyone to stand up for what is right and just. The musician further urged the audience to vote for the betterment of Pakistan, asking everyone to find their constituencies and actively participate in shaping the future.

“I am asking all my colleagues, public figures and celebrities to support the right to vote to at least raise awareness of their ability to stand up for what is right and fair and most importantly, VOTE! PLEASE encourage everyone to find their constituency and decide what our children will see. Vote for Pakistan,” Asim said on his IG Story.

Osman, in a post on X, provided a practical guide for people who have yet to check their voting details. He advised them to text 8300 with their CNIC to get information about their constituency and polling station. In addition, he emphasized the importance of making one’s voice count through the voting process.

Hassan initially shared a heartfelt message in Urdu on the site formerly known as Twitter, urging everyone to vote, a sentiment he later echoed in a subsequent post. “Aur meri jaan kay totay vote zarur daalna (Part of my heart, vote),” the singer shared. Responding to potential critics, Raheem reaffirmed his commitment to civic responsibility, citing his tax contributions and asserting his right to express opinions that align with his beliefs.

The trio’s collective call to action reflects the growing awareness among Pakistani celebrities of the central role citizens play in the democratic process. As election season approaches, these influential figures are leveraging their platforms to inspire broad participation and engage citizens in shaping the nation’s future.
