LONDON:
Tens of thousands of ecstatic Oasis fans headed to Cardiff on Friday, as the legendary Britpop band began a long -awaited reunification tour almost 16 years after its last appearance.
The concert at the Principality Stadium in the Welsh capital was the first of a 41-day condoms covering the world, including the United States, Japan, Australia and Brazil.
The brothers once Liam and Noel Gallagher, their classmates and UK support operations are set to appear in Cardiff on Friday and Saturday five of the Homeland concerts in Manchester on July 11.
Further sellers of British and Irish concerts will be followed by the Wembley Stadium in London, the Murrayfield Stadium of Edinburgh and Dublin’s Croke Park, before the international Oasis Live ’25 tour.
“All that matters is how people feel at this stage,” said Liam Gallagher, 52, in social media last week as the months of prediction reach a climax.
The fans share their enthusiasm in the first opportunity to see Oasis play live since 2009-or always-since it has long been considered a remote perspective after one of the most intense dissolution of music.
The 1990s concerts are Legend’s material.
“The feeling is biblical!” Sean Campbell, 35, told AFP tanker driver before attending Friday’s concert.
“I’ve been waiting for years for their return. I lost years ago, so this is my first time I see them living.”
Tickets over tickets
Oasis, famous for the successes of the 1990s such as Live Forever and Wonderwall, announced its return last August, days before their 30th anniversary of their debut album, maybe perhaps.
Manchester Rockers were divided in 2009, with Noel saying that “he just couldn’t continue working with Liam one day more”.
Gallagher’s brothers had maintained a word war for each other for more than a decade, executing those years, but never together.
The surprise announcement that they had finally left their dispute to reunite have triggered an electronic frenzy for tickets, but the rage of sudden increases in prices that saw the British competition threaten legal action.
Smoothing tickets that cost thousands of pounds have appeared, and fans have also targeted online scams.
Britain’s Lloyds Bank estimates in April that the victims had collectively lost more than £ 2m ($ 2.7 million).
The tour is expected to be a benefit for the UK racing economy.
Fans could spend more than £ 1 billion, in combination with tickets and exits such as transport and accommodation, Barclays Bank is estimated in May.
‘Rough and ready’
OASIS will be supported in the United Kingdom by Richard Ashcroft, Frontman of the British Rock Band The Verve, as well as the Liverpool band.
The illuminated drones showed the classic Oasis logo over Cardiff’s late Wednesday, on a one -night screen, adding the buzz around the start of the tour.
Oasis started blocking months before rehearsing in London more recently.
The band reportedly welcomed several new members for the tour, including a keyboard player and drummer.
Writing in the tour program, Noel, 58, reflects the complex popularity of the band, saying that “a new generation recognizes the way Oasis was not built”.
“It was chaotic and incorrect. And not technically brilliant. We were rough and ready children from a rehearsal room and people recognized it.” AFP
