North Korea chokers participate in the new K-Pop band

Seoul:

A new K-pop boy made their world debut on Friday with two North Korea members and an album that includes a song about the consequences of escaping one of the world’s most repressive states.

1verse, pronounced “universe”, consists of five men in the 1920s from North Korea, Japan and the United States, who go with their first names, Hyuk, Seok, Aito, Nathan and Kenny.

At midnight, the team made a live showcase of the first EP, the 1st verse with three tracks, including the debut single Shattered.

A video accompanying the song fell later on Friday. It was recorded earlier this year, shows team athletic makeup and hairstyles, dancing on a stroboscopic background.

Yu Hyuk, initially from Kyongsong’s northeast county in North Korea, has been living in South Korea since 2013. Also, enjoying the freedom to highlight his talent in the world, the 25 -year -old estimates that he is able to eat three meals a day.

In North Korea, he began working at the age of nine and said that he was sometimes forced to desperate measures to take food, eat damaged rice or worse, and to steal.

“After I was caught stealing, I was hit hard until I was bleeding. I was really hungry and instinctively thought about survival,” he told Reuters in the team’s studio in the southwestern capital.

North Korea has reinforced the control of people’s lives by the Covid-19 pandemic when all borders and abuses such as executions, forced labor and hunger reports continue, in a formal investigation of UN rights in the secluded state, told Reuters.

Hyuk fled North Korea as a child – he leaves China and then to other international border with the help of a broker organized by his mother, who was already in South Korea.

While he is happy with his new life, he remembers it was a key to leaving his home.

“I was hungry and tired, but I was happy to be surrounded by the people I like that made it harder for me to want to come here at first,” he said.

The song broke his feelings when he learned about his father’s death in North Korea, he said.

Kim Seok, the other North Korean Northern Nutrition and also 25, lived in a border town near China. Exposed to a k-pop by a friend who shared music videos to a portable media player, including PSY 2012 Smash Gangnam Style.

Seok escaped with his father and grandmother when he was 20 years old. Reuters
