Mujadid Sabri felt exploited by the media after the passage of the father

In an interview with Tabish Hashmi about Hasna Mana Hai, Legacy Qawwal Mujadid Amjad Sabri returned to his experiences with the media as a child after the passage of his father, the famous Amjad Sabri in 2016.

Mujadid began with the assumption that his entire family has undergone this test. “Not only on the channels, but even when we return home after a shot, a reference team would wait for us there,” he revealed. “We moved to Lahore for this reason. Between 2016 and 2017, I don’t think we spent a time only at home.”

Recognized singer Sufi was shot by motorcycle shots in a central Karachi neighborhood. Amjad, about 45 years old, traveled from his home to a television studio to watch an Iftar broadcast when a motorcycle pulled along with the White Honda Civic and the two riders opened fire.

With the Amjad family left mourning, the painful incident sparked an explosion of sadness at national level. Mujadid was only thirteen years old at that time.

“Now, people were also not fault, since they only wanted to show love,” he acknowledged in the interview. “But yes, we have been exploited by the end of the media. We would be asked by invasive questions such as,” Do you miss your father? ”

He then revealed that he once called a host directly to a popular channel, though this place did not reach the final cut. “I asked him if his father was alive, to whom he said yes. Then I said,” When he leaves you, then I will ask you if you are sad or not, “Mujadid recalls.

“They were honestly only a few interviews like this, but besides that, people were kind.” After moving to Lahore, we spent about five to six years away from all this, “he added.

In 2024, Mujadid recalled the tragic memories of the incident in an interview with TCM Originals on YouTube. “My leg was shocked and we were all in his bed playing Ludo. Then just forty minutes later, there was a blow to the gate. He was an elderly man we didn’t know and said that our father had just been murdered,” he shared.

After the period of mourning he retreated, many talked to the family about how the last maestro helped them. “Everyone knew him as a happy man, and he was so down on earth, and sensitive to the problems of others,” Mujadid reflected.
