Language for children in early years (Opinion)

The first three years of life are the most intensive time for acquiring language skills, that is the period when a child develops his language skills with the help of sounds, sight, and consistent exposure to the language of others.

As per the research carried out through authentic sources, there appears to be a critical period for language development in infants and young children when the brain is the best able to absorb language.

If these critical periods are allowed to pass without exposure to language, it will be more difficult to learn” therefore the caregivers must use simple and clear language sometimes we use higher pitch voice slang words and also abusive language despite knowing that the child will listen, observe and will try to speak like you if you will speak politely and clearly than the child will.

Recent research says that a child can learn and speak more than 8 languages by the age of 14. Because babies are born with the ability to make sounds of any language as they grow, babies begin to sort out the speech sounds that make up the words of their home language.

It depends upon the home that what kind of language are the homies speaking in, besides there is a prime thing to apply is don’t use two languages in a single sentence for instance if a person is speaking in Urdu then he should make sure that he speaks utterly in Urdu and not even has to say a single word of the other language at that time it will be easy for the child to differentiate between two languages.

That’s how a child can speak multiple languages. It’s just how we encourage them or give them the time and provide them the material that they need from us.
