Bratislava:
The Slovak Festival due to Kanye West’s welcome has removed the event after the upheaval of the American rapper May to release a song that glorifies Nazi leader Adolf Hitler.
Before the July 20th concert is canceled, Bratislava’s Hip Hop Festival is expected to be West’s only live confirmation in Europe this year.
Although he has won 24 Grammy Awards during his career, the irregular rapper has become notorious in recent years for the increasingly anti -Semitic and full of hatred.
West, which legally changed its name to “Ye”, released the song Heil Hitler on May 8, the 80th anniversary of Nazi Germany’s defeat in World War II.
Following the announcement of the West appearance at Rubicon, thousands of people signed a report against the concert.
The rapper – a vocal supporter of US President Donald Trump – “repeatedly and openly adheres to symbols and ideology associated with the darkest period of modern world history,” two teams said behind the report.
In a statement on Instagram late on Wednesday, festival organizers stated that the decision to cancel the event “was due to the media pressure and the withdrawal of many artists and collaborators”.
“This was not an easy decision,” the organizers said, without planning a direct line between the scheduled appearance of the rapper and the cancellations.
In contact with the AFP Thursday, the Rubicon Festival did not provide further explanations.
Designing itself as the top hip hop-out of the central European country, the Rubicon Festival is expected to run from July 18th to July 20th.
US Rappers Offset and Sheck Wes were ready to share the top fees.
Australia canceled the West visa on July 2 above Heil Hitler, in which the West is fighting for the battle of custody with his ex -wife Kim Kardashian before the song ended with a Nazi dictator’s speech extract.
West’s wife, Bianca Censori, is Australian.
