HBO has released the trailer for ‘Euphoria’ season 3.

HBO has released the first trailer for Euphoria Season 3, ahead of its April 12, 2026 premiere on HBO and HBO Max.

The highly anticipated season returns main cast members Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Jacob Elordi, Hunter Schafer, Eric Dane, Alexa Demie, Maude Apatow, Martha Kelly, Chloe Cherry, Colman Domingo and Dominic Fike. Notably, Barbie Ferreira, Storm Reid, Javon “Wanna” Walton and Austin Abrams will not return, while the late Angus Cloud, who played Fezco, died in July 2023 at the age of 25.

Set five years after the events of Season 2, Season 3 follows the characters after high school. Rue (Zendaya) lives in Mexico while paying off her debt to drug dealer Laurie, and Cassie and Nate get married and settle in the suburbs. Jules (Schafer) goes to art school and Maddy works at a Hollywood talent agency. The season promises to explore darker storylines, including Rue’s ongoing struggles, Cassie’s navigation of adulthood, and Nate’s continued involvement in complex personal conflicts.

Season 3 also introduces a number of new cast members, including Sharon Stone, Rosalía, Trisha Paytas, Natasha Lyonne, Danielle Deadwyler, Eli Roth and Marshawn Lynch, along with Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Toby Wallace, Darrell Britt-Gibson and more. The trailer highlights intense drama, high-stakes relationships and evolving character arcs, reflecting Euphoria’s signature blend of emotional storytelling, teenage angst and social commentary.

With the release of the Season 3 trailer, fans’ excitement has increased on social media platforms. Viewers can expect the same visually stunning cinematography and mature themes that made Euphoria a critical and cultural phenomenon. The season promises to deepen the characters’ journeys while taking on new challenges as the story moves into adulthood after high school.

Euphoria’s executive producers include Levinson, Canadian rapper and singer Drake, Zendaya, Ron Leshem and Gary Lennon. The series is shot and filmed in California. Filming locations include Ulysses S. Grant High School in Los Angeles and Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City. The series has received generally positive reviews, with praise for its cinematography, score, cast performances and approach to its mature subject matter. Some critics found the nudity and sexual content excessive due to its high school setting and teenage characters. It is HBO’s fourth most-watched series since 2004, behind Game of Thrones, The Last of Us and House of the Dragon. The show additionally shares the same universe as Levinson’s 2023 TV series The Idol.

The first season of Euphoria premiered on June 16, 2019 and concluded on August 4, consisting of eight episodes. Two one-hour specials aired in December 2020 and January 2021. The eight-episode second season premiered on January 9, 2022, and concluded on February 27. That month, the series was renewed for a third season.

The third season was originally expected to go into production in December 2023, but was shelved due to Hollywood labor disputes in 2023 and the unexpected deaths of Angus Cloud and executive producer Kevin Turen.

Filming for the third season finally began in February 2025 and wrapped later that November. It is scheduled to premiere on April 12, 2026, and will be set away from the high school of the first two seasons.
