KARACHI: Wajiha Amir, the mother of the late Mustafa Amir, has disclosed that the girl involved in the case had an ongoing dispute with her son, Mustafa, and was in contact with the prime suspect, Armaghan.
In a recent interview with a private news channel, Wajiha Amir stated, “When the DNA report was delayed, I initially thought that perhaps it wasn’t Mustafa, and the accused might have hidden him somewhere. However, now that the DNA report confirms it was Mustafa, what more can I say?”
She further explained that Mustafa Amir’s phone had been found at the crime scene, and the accused’s confession corroborated the identity of the body as Mustafa’s.
On the first day of the trial, Wajiha Amir shared that Armaghan’s mother had approached her with an offer to settle the matter. However, Wajiha insisted that the location of her son’s body be disclosed before any discussions could take place.
Wajiha recalled that Armaghan’s mother questioned, “Why would my son do such a thing? He has a lot of money.” To which Wajiha responded, “I am unaware of how much money he has, but just return my son, and I will withdraw the FIR.”
Concerning the girl’s involvement, Wajiha Amir revealed that the girl had been in conflict with Mustafa Amir and had maintained communication with Armaghan. “The girl was aware that Armaghan had harmed Mustafa. I suggested that she be questioned, but she disappeared between January 15 and 18,” Wajiha stated.
Wajiha Amir also claimed to have evidence implicating the girl, asserting, “She knew everything but chose not to act.”
Furthermore, Wajiha shared an incident where Mustafa received a parcel that was later returned. When he went to retrieve it, he was asked to wait in his car. During this time, the authorities from the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) arrived and discovered 30 grams of narcotics in the parcel.
Wajiha Amir alleged that her son had been framed and claimed that someone had deliberately set him up. Despite the judge’s orders, she stated that the ANF authorities were unable to locate Mustafa Amir.
