Don’t tell Atif Aslam What to do

Atif Aslam does not feel the need to explain his decisions to the world. In a recent interview with journalist Faridoon Shahryar on YouTube Show Connect the cine This week, the singer opened for the reaction he received to perform just two days after his father’s death. In the same interview, he recalled his journey as an artist and recognized the love he received from Bollywood.

“I heard people say that my father died and I was still playing the next day,” he said. “They were trying to make their channel run at my own expense, commenting on whether I should have gone or not.”

The singer’s father died in August and shared a sincere tribute to Instagram. Asking everyone to remember him and his family in their prayers, he posted a photo that kisses his father on the cheek and wrote: “A final goodbye to my iron man.

He took the scene at Karachi National Stadium for a full -time independence concert just two days later. Many praised his professionalism and his ability to perform under personal loss. However, the singer was criticized for promoting the show despite the circumstances.

“Atif Aslam has enough influence to cancel any demonstration if he really wanted. This is not a sacrifice for Pakistan. It is an option and it is clearly for money, not for the nation.” wrote an Instagram user, reflecting the voice of many others.

Responding to this reaction, Atif said in the interview: “My job is not to tell the haters not to do it, I can’t build a relationship with the whole world, I can’t explain to every human being what my conditions were.

The singer remembered the connection his father shared with his music. “I have never seen my father cry,” he said. “But when he heard me sing Taj Dar-e-Haram In the Coke studio for the first time, he shouted. I remember Qawwali’s Sabri Brothers version playing on television at 7am and then at 12pm and would make us watch it all. I didn’t understand it at that time. Later, I realized what the kind of connection was shared with it. ”

With classic Pakistani songs like Meri Kahani, Hum Kis Gali Ja Rahe and Hona Tha Pyar, the Dil Diyan Gallan Singer makes sure to recognize his influence on Bollywood. “I miss Bollywood,” he said. “It’s been eight to ten years since I worked there. I miss playing there. I miss being in the studio. I miss my friends, music composers.

Atif feels huge gratitude for the love he has received from their fraternity. “If I’m talking about Pakistan, we don’t have many stars,” he said. “Our industry is not as great as Bollywood, but of the few there are, God has chosen me and made me shine on the big jungle that is Bollywood, I can’t thank him enough.”

He reflects his journey as a musician. “You have to be a revolutionary to be an artist,” he said. “You need to know your strengths and weaknesses. You must continue to work on them. I am a stage, not a studio artist. When I go on stage. I forget what is going on in the world.”

Believing his father as a source of inspiration, the singer said: “A man who has lost his father is not afraid to lose anything else. There the revolutionary comes within me.”
