LONDON:
Burberry’s Winter 2025 collection, presented on Monday at the London Tate Britain Museum, drew on country estates and contained leather coats, velvet broccar costumes and horsemen such as Jodhpur pants and high leather boots.
An starfish, such as Naomi Campbell, actors Lesley Manville, Richard E Grant and Elizabeth McGovern and Lila Moss, daughter of Supermodel Kate Moss modeling creative director Daniel Lee for the British brand.
It is the second demonstration since CEO Joshua Schulman took the reins to Burberry and began implementing a new strategy focusing on the outdoor, scarf and marketing of the brand’s British heritage in an effort to turn sales around.
The catwalk was bright blue rugs, a color that Lee made his brand in Burberry and the neoclassical architecture of the museum was complemented by curtains with an impressionist printing inspired by great British landscape artists.
The color palette of hot coffee, gray and taupe also caused the British countryside, with some red and yellow intentions.
The Jacquard-Wovens trenches and brocade jackets were inspired by the wallpapers and upholstery of the original houses, with silk shirts and trousers that cause intimacy.
“This is the great exit on Friday night from London in the countryside for long rainy walks and disconnect in the big countryside,” Lee said of his inspiration for the collection.
The accessories included oversized scarves with coarse margins and leather boots with Burberry’s signature control.
According to the renewed emphasis on the scarves, Burberry sent every visitor a dark green and nautical scarf along with their invitation.
Burberry’s was the closure of London Fashion Week, the second leg of the autumn 2025 catwalk calendar, which started in New York and will go to Milan and Paris. Reuters
