Travelling makes me long for a liberal, progressive, gender-equal Pakistan (Opinion)
You’d assume one feels most comfortable and safe at home; the familiarity of the place allows one to feel relaxed unlike anywhere else in the world. Yet, 7000 miles away from home, all by myself, is where I felt the safest in a very long time. I could walk out wearing whatever I wanted, could dance around in the streets, could smile at a stranger and get a smile back and could unapologetically be myself.
