It isn’t the first war and most certainly will not be the last one. Every war has wide-ranging seminal consequences; some wars have more than others. The Russo-Ukrainian affair has gotten a lot of traction but for far more distinct and intrinsic reasons. The reaction of the West in its crude form has unveiled superannuated concepts – racism, xenophobia, and islamophobia among others – that everybody thought we had powered through.
