Ahsan Khan has tips for parents with daughters

The actor and television host Ahsan Khan talked about the importance of increasing daughters with power and independence. In an interview with Fuchsia magazine, Han shared his prospect as a father and reflects the different challenges faced by sons and daughters while growing up, especially in the Pakistani cultural context.

Began observing that “many people do not invest in their wives to help them grow up.” Han informed, “to increase the girls to be independent so that they can navigate their own life.”

However, the actress Udaari hastened to clarify: “This does not mean that she has to abandon her values, culture or religion. A woman who knows will live her life more reasonably.”

Han argued that women should become autonomous not only for personal development but also for dealing with the difficulties of life. “I’ve seen many women suffer when they don’t have a man in their lives,” he thought. “When someone leaves them or pass away, they don’t even know how to live.”

He stressed that daughters should be taught emotional resilience as well as practical knowledge. “Independence makes you stronger,” he said, urging parents to increase women who can continue with dignity even in the absence of a man.

Providing possible criticism, Han was clear, stating that his views are not based on modern or “west” ideals. “I’m not talking about modernity,” he said, before referring to examples from Islamic history to support his position.

Referring to Hazrat Khadija (RA), the first wife of Prophet Mohammed (PBUH), Han said, “the first to greatly support our religion was Hazrat Hadjas, through wealth and independent woman.”

“He knew what he was doing. He recognized the Prophet (PBUH). He understood him and made life easier for him,” he added.

He reiterated: “I’m not talking about a modern, western idea. I’m talking about something deeply religious – that women must be independent.”

In addition to the screen, Khan often rally for women’s rights. In 2016, she joined the White Ribbon campaign, a worldwide initiative to end violence against women. “The involvement of men and boys is an important tool for eliminating violence against women and girls … gradually turning their behavior will help eliminate violence,” the actress said.
