Abdul Aleem Khan decides to resign from ministry

LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senior leader and provincial minister Abdul Aleem Khan has decided to resign from his ministry.

Taking to Twitter, Aleem Khan said, “My relationship with Prime Minister Imran Khan is not political but personal and fraternal. I am proud to have stood by the side of the PTI in the struggle for a ‘Naya Pakistan’ for the last 10 years. Even today, my relationship with Imran Khan, apart from politics, is purely personal and fraternal, which will last forever.”

The provincial minister has decided to resign from his ministry once again. He tendered his resignation in a meeting with the prime minister a few days ago. Imran Khan returned his resignation to Abdul Aleem Khan and asked him to wait for some time.

Abdul Aleem Khan is awaiting a reply from Prime Minister Imran Khan. “I can no longer handle the ministry due to personal engagement. I spent many years in politics but now I want to give some time to my private life. I have done a lot of works for Pakistan and I will continue to my work for the country.”

Earlier, Aleem Khan had resigned from the Ministry of Local Government and Planning after his arrest on February 6, 2019, when the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had arrested him in an offshore company case. The NAB was investigating Aleem Khan s offshore company and was also investigating assets in beyond income cases.
