After years of being trolled for being, in fact, Bollywood magnet, heartthrob and actor Imran Abbas, Imran Abbas’ much awaited moment of glory has arrived. He just heard Bollywood mogul Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s confirmation that he had considered Imran for a role in the talk-of-the-town Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaarthe latter took to Facebook to shout the news to the world.
“I appreciate Sanjay Leela Bhansali for providing this clarification,” the appreciator wrote Amanat stars in a post straight from the heart. “I would encourage my dear ‘netizens’ and YouTubers to ask the other directors I have mentioned in my interviews to confirm the offers they have made.”
In a recent interview with Lilly Singh, Bhansali had talked about the possible involvement of Pakistani stars. Heeramandi, and listed Imran among them. Imran had spoken in previous interviews about how he had turned down major Bollywood roles throughout his showbiz career, although he had at least once crossed the border to star opposite Indian actor Bipasha Basu in a Bollywood film . 3D creature.
Now, in his Facebook post, Imran took special note of the film’s fans who had assumed he was a “liar” and a “show-off” and noted that he was saddened that people blatantly refused to take him at his word.
“The most disappointing aspect is not the lack of faith in me and the perception of me as a liar or showman,” Imran wrote. “It is obvious that some people are confined to their own narrow worldview, ignoring many real experiences that others have encountered. For them, it’s a fantasy, as they still live in a few words.”
Imran’s Bollywood claims, destined to be disbelieved forever, were recently subjected to a ruthless analysis by notorious Indian film critic Kamaal R Khan, popularly known as KRK. Not sparing any emotions, KRK addressed Imran on his YouTube channel and said, “You have left Govinda behind in terms of bragging because Govinda too once said that he was offered a Hollywood film, which he refused to do.”
Knowing that she couldn’t throw a bigger insult than comparing Imran to Bollywood star Govinda, KRK had added, “Until today, Govinda was considered the biggest braggart in Bollywood, but Imran Abbas has left him behind.” It was a little. which Imran hadn’t forgotten, making a cryptic allusion to KRK’s “vile” accusations in his own appreciation post.
“What is even more painful is when our own people demote their celebrities instead of standing by us,” Imran wrote. “Rather, [they] they even quote irreverent comments from some YouTubers or so-called ‘journalists’, bloggers who are condemned even in the Bollywood industry as untrustworthy and untrustworthy’.
Imran’s die-hard fans sympathized with his plight so far and urged him to turn a blind eye to the naysayers. In the comment section of Imran’s post, one follower wrote, “It’s hard when people judge without knowing the whole story. Don’t let it get to you, you’re awesome.”
While majority of the comments on Imran’s page echoed similar sentiments, there were no happy disgruntled moviegoers on other social media pages who opined that perhaps Imran should have been more clear about the roles he was offered.
“He should have made it clear that he was offered the second lead PK,” wrote one unimpressed fan. “People [were] confused between Aamir Khan’s role and Sushant Singh’s role’.
Naysayers aside, Imran can rest in the knowledge that he now has solid validation for his claims that he has attracted the attention of Bollywood’s big guns.
