Victoria Beckham will “forever cherish” the day her husband Sir David Beckham was knighted.
The 50-year-old former England football captain was knighted by King Charles during a ceremony at Windsor Castle on Tuesday (04.11.25) for his “services to sport and charity”.
Victoria attended to support her husband and praised him as “the same kind, humble, hard-working man” she met 30 years ago.
He wrote on Instagram: “David, from the moment I met you 28 years ago, you have always been so proud to represent your country. Whether on or off the pitch, no one loves England or respects our Royal Family more, so to see you honored by the King today is something I will cherish forever.
The fashionista continued: “You have achieved so much and yet you are the same kind, humble, hard-working man I met almost 30 years ago, as well as the most amazing husband and father.”
“I’ve never felt prouder than today. Mr @davidbeckham we all love you so much xxx (sic),” concluded Victoria.
The ceremony was also a special moment for Victoria’s fashion brand, as David wore the first piece of menswear designed by her company, a tailored charcoal gray morning suit, to receive the honour.
And the suit had a royal seal of approval, as the former Manchester United player said of the king: “He was very impressed with my suit.”
“He’s kind of the best-dressed guy I know, so he’s inspired quite a few of my looks over the years and he definitely inspired this look,” added David.
Speaking about the process of designing his outfit, he said: “It was something my wife made me.”
“I looked at old pictures of him when he was quite young in morning suits and I was like, ‘Okay, that’s what I want to wear,’ so I gave it to my wife and she did,” concluded David Beckham, speaking of Victoria’s fashion prowess.
