The ambition of an Indian man visiting the United States was canceled in less than a minute during the Visa B1/B2 interview at the US Embassy in New Delhi. The applicant, who is determined by the Reddit username “Noone01810”, shared his experience on the platform, searching for information on the quick rejection he faced.
During the interview, he was asked three questions: The purpose of his trip to the US, his international travel history and whether he had a family or friends in the country.
He responded sincerely, stating that he intended to stop in Florida, had no previous international travel experience and had a girl living in Florida.
Despite his sincerity, the consular employee issued a refusal of 214 (b), indicating that the applicant did not sufficiently show strong ties with his homeland to overcome the presumption of immigrants’ intention.
The applicant turned to Reddit for advice, investigating whether his girlfriend’s report in the US could have contributed to rejection.
One user replied: “You are a manual denial, unfortunately, you have zero travel history, especially in Western countries. In addition, a friend in states?
“Another commented,” it is difficult to prove that the defense will not remain when your application is weak due to a historic trip outside India and you have a GF to us, whom they probably assume you have never met. “
According to Article 214 (b) of the Law on Migration and Ethnicity, candidates must prove strong links with their homeland to qualify for non -immigrants.
The US Foreign Ministry advises that candidates can re -apply if they can provide additional evidence to overcome the basis for refusal. However, without significant changes in circumstances, the review can lead to a similar result.
The applicant is now facing the challenge of starting, possibly reinforcing his case, demonstrating stronger links with India, such as employment, property or family liabilities, to relieve concerns about his intention to return after a temporary stay in the US.
