US patrol agents developed in Chicago led a late night invasion to an apartment building this week, they are launched by helicopters on the roofs and rejecting the doors to business authorities, targeted gang members, but scanning the US and the US.
The demonstration of power underlined its unprecedented President Donald Trump by the patrol agents as a force in large cities, rebuilding staff who would normally be ordered to guard America’s border with Mexico and Canada.
Naudelys, a 19 -year -old Venezuelan woman, says she was in her 4 -year -old son and another couple with a baby when the agents knocked on their door during the raid early on Tuesday. The agents told them to put their hands on them and to point out weapons, he said.
Naudelys, whose husband was arrested and held by immigration authorities three months ago, said he tried to record the scene, but an agent rang her phone.
Spanish agents told them to return to their country and make a sexual observation for Venezuelan women, he said. One of the agents hit a man in front of her son and begged him to stop, he said.

“My son was injured,” said Naudelys, who asked to withhold her surname.
He said that authorities claimed that her boyfriend’s partner was a member of the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua, something she is questioning.
The US Department of Interior Ministry, which includes border patrol, did not immediately respond to a request for comments about Naudelys’ account on the raid.
As part of the raid, some American citizens were temporarily held and children were pulled by their beds, according to interviews with residents and news reports. The construction corridors were still full of debris two days later.
Trump, a Republican, has promised to escalate the imposition of immigration to Chicago and other democratic forts that limit cooperation with federal businesses. Border patrols – staffed with about 19,000 agents and under less pressure with border concerns at historically low – have increasingly played a new role in the big cities, led by Gregory Bovino, the commander of the organization.
The incident in the neighborhood of the south side of the city, mentioned by authorities, led to dozens of arrests, was one of the highest profile immigration actions in Chicago since Trump’s administration started the “Midway Blitz business” in the city last month.
Hundreds of agents of the apartment building are opening new tab during the raid on Tuesday, including some launches up to the roof of Black Hawk helicopters, according to Newsnation.
The agents took children from their parents
A DHS spokesman confirmed the operation, saying that it focused on alleged members of Tren de Aragua and that border agents had worked with the Federal Investigation Office and an alcohol, tobacco, firearms and explosive office.
Authorities arrested at least 37 people for immigration violations, most of which were Venezuela, the spokesman said.
The spokesman said two arrested two people were supposed members of Tren de Aragua. The section identified six people with criminal stories, ranging from battery to marijuana and said two people were suspected of being involved.
The spokesman refused to say whether the agents had warrants to enter violently, saying that because Tren de Aragua has been described as a terrorist organization “there are sensitivities to what we can offer without endangering people”.
“This operation was fully complied with the law,” the spokesman said.
Four children of US citizens were taken by their parents during the raid because parents did not have a legal status, DHS said, claiming that one of the parents was a member of Tren de Aragua.
“These children were detained until they could take care of a safe guardian or the state,” the spokesman said.
Naudelys said its authorities later released that day because it has a pending asylum case. Her apartment boarded when she returned, she said. The workers opened it for her, but her belongings were gone, she said.
Cassandra Murray, a 55 -year -old resident, said she heard strong explosions as the raids occurred.
He said that Venezuelan’s neighbors arrived two years ago. At that time, thousands of Venezueles recently crossed the US-Mexico border were involved in Chicago and other cities from the state of Texas.
“They never made us feel insecure,” Murray said. “Needed somewhere to live as well.”
A resident, who asked not to be named, said that he was lying on the ground by agents during the raid and to have the hands of the zipper.
Gil Kerlikowske, who was Commissioner for US Border Customs and Protection from 2014-2017 and former Seattle Police Chief, said border agents have different training and protocols than local police and concerns were more aggressive.
“Politicalization of an urban environment is completely, completely different,” he said.
US immigration and customs officers have also examined the use of tear gas against protesters in one of his Chicago facilities and the deadly shooting of a Mexican man.
‘We’re not going anywhere’
In Los Angeles during the summer, border patrol agents carried out migration scans in home parking and other public places that contributed to the decision of a federal judge to prevent the obvious racial profile in the area. The Supreme Court in September looked like Trump’s administration, allowing him to continue the tactic.
Bovino, who supervised the LA function, arrived in Chicago several weeks ago. He often publishes on social media about the work of his service, often in unjust terms.
“We are here, Chicago, and we are not going anywhere,” Bovinosaid on X last month, opens a new tab alongside a video of the arrest of a man who said he was a member of the Venezuelan gang in a home depot parking lot, editing a song by Rapis Skott.
A viral video this week showed a mask and armed border patrol agents chasing a man on an electronic bike in downtown Chicago, after mocking them and said he was not a US citizen.
Illinois Governor JB Pritzker, Democrat, criticized the development of armed borders of patrols and other staff in the city, calling him “authoritarianism” at a press conference on Monday.
“Gregory Bovino has led to the disorder and causing chaos, while he is happy to put photos and tiktok with joy,” he said.
