At least two militants were killed and three wounded during an intelligence-based operation in the Killi Zaik area of Balochistan, security sources said (Geo News).

The operation was carried out between Killi Zaik and Kaghli, about 12 kilometres north of the Baseema camp, after forces received information about the presence of militants.

Ammunition, hand grenades, magazines and material used to make improvised explosive devices were recovered, the sources said. The operation was described as part of Operation Rad-ul-Fitna-3, which the military’s media wing characterises as targeting Indian proxies.

The account comes from security sources rather than a formal ISPR statement. The casualty figures, the affiliations attributed to those killed and the description of the engagement have not been independently verified, and no independent access to the site has been reported.

It follows the killing of seven militants reported in Kharan district a day earlier, and ten in Khuzdar the day before that — bringing the running total claimed in Balochistan over roughly eleven days to more than sixty.

Violence has risen in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan since 2021. The Centre for Research and Security Studies found the two provinces together accounted for nearly 96 per cent of all violence-related fatalities in the second quarter of 2026, with 265 deaths in Balochistan across 94 incidents.
