US President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that allied nations in the Middle East were ready to send troops to Gaza at his request to confront Hamas if the group did not end its alleged violations of its peace plan.
The threat comes a day after Trump warned that Hamas would be “exterminated” if the group did not live up to the expectations of the deal, which brought a fragile ceasefire to the two-year war with Israel.
“Many of our NOW MAJOR ALLIES in the Middle East, and regions around the Middle East, have…informed me that they would welcome the opportunity, at my request, to go into Gaza with heavy force and ‘straighten out Hamas’ if Hamas continues to misbehave,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform.

The post came as US Vice President JD Vance visited Israel with two other top Trump envoys, seeking to shore up the peace plan after weekend violence in Gaza sparked fears the truce could quickly collapse.
Trump said he told both Israel and Middle Eastern allies reportedly ready to confront Hamas: “NOT YET!”
“There is still hope that Hamas will do what is right. If they don’t, the end of Hamas will be QUICK, EXCLUSIVE and VILE!” warned.

“There are not going to be American boots on the ground in Gaza. The President of the United States has made that very clear. All of our military leadership has made that clear,” Vance told a news conference in Kiryat Gat, southern Israel, where a US-led mission is monitoring a cease-fire in Gaza.
Vance added that the US would be limited to providing “useful coordination”.
