Trump pushes for $ 500B to rare landowners from Ukraine for continuous help

US President Donald Trump has asked Ukraine to provide $ 500 billion worth $ 500 billion of minerals as compensation for continued US support in the ongoing conflict with Russia.

In an interview with Fox News late Monday, Trump stressed that the US would have to take a share of Ukraine’s huge natural resources to offset the hundreds of billions of dollars spent on KIEV’s defense against Russia’s invasion.

‘I told them [Ukraine] That I want the equivalent of $ 500 billion in rare land and have actually agreed to do so at least we do not feel stupid, “Trump said.” We cannot continue to pay this money without getting anything in return. “

Ukraine is rich in vital minerals, such as lithium, titanium, carbon, oil, gas and uranium, although much of these pores are in areas under Russian control. Trump previously expressed a desire to access Ukraine’s mineral wealth in the context of his wider strategy to gain a competitive advantage over China in the world struggle for critical resources.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has proposed to allow the US to develop his country’s natural resources as a means of ensuring ongoing US support.

In a recent interview, Zelenskyy reiterated that the US should benefit more than Ukraine’s recovery.

“The Americans helped more and so Americans should win more,” Zelenskyy said on Friday. He added that he hoped to discuss the matter with President Trump immediately.

Trump’s comments have been criticized by European leaders, including the German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, who described the former president’s approach to foreign policy as “very selfish, very selfish”.

Earlier this month, Trump had expressed his interest in reaching an agreement with Ukraine, stating: “We are looking for an agreement with Ukraine where they are going to secure what we give them with rare land and other things. ‘
