“An agreement with Hamas must be reached until Sunday night at six (6) pm, Washington, DC Time,” Trump said in social media on Friday. “Every country has signed! If this last opportunity agreement is not reached, all hell, as no one has ever seen before, will break out against Hamas.”
The plan determines an immediate ceasefire, the exchange of all Hamas hostages for Palestinian prisoners held by Israel, a gradual Israeli withdrawal from Gaza, the disarmament of Hamas and the introduction of a transitional government leading by international.
Trump first presented its plan to leaders and officials from Egypt, Indonesia, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Turkiye, Pakistan, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates, on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly last week.
Qatar and Egypt mediators shared the 20 -point plan with Hamas late Monday after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu appeared alongside Trump in the White House and approved the document, saying that he was satisfying his war targets.
‘Intensive debate’ in progress for Hamas’ response
Hamas did not participate in the negotiations that led to the proposal, which invites Hamas to disarm, a demand that has previously rejected.
Asked if his team had finalized his response to Trump’s gauze plan, a Hamas official said Reuters Late Thursday: “Not yet, the intensive discussion is in progress.” The official said Hamas had talks with the Arab media, Turkey and the Palestinian factions to form the “Palestinian response”.
On Tuesday, Trump said he would give Hamas three to four days to accept the plan. On Friday he described Hamas as a “ruthless and violent threat in the Middle East”.
In the truth of the social post on Friday, Trump made an obvious reference to Israel’s attack in the city of Gaza. He said the rest of Hamas in Gaza were trapped and “they will be hunted and killed” without agreement and warned “innocent Palestinians” to leave for safer areas of Gaza.
The United Nations has repeatedly said that nowhere in Gaza is not safe. Israel is blocking Gaza’s main street on Thursday on Thursday and told millions of residents to leave south, warning that it was their last opportunity to escape a major attack.
Trump’s Opportunity Window, says UN Help Head
The city of Gaza and the surrounding areas suffer from hunger and will probably spread, a global hunger monitoring determined at the end of August. Israel has stopped all the help for 11 weeks from March to mid -May and says it improves access, but UN teams and help say they need much more.
“President Trump’s Gaza initiative opens a window of opportunity. It offers both the opportunity for Palestinians to receive urgent help in scale salvation and bring home hostages,” said UN Tom Fletcher’s chief on Friday. “We are ready and willing to act.”
Trump’s plan requires Gaza aid to be distributed without interference from neutral international groups, with the promising 170,000 metric tones ready to enter.
Israel began its attack on Gaza following the attack on October 7, 2023, led by Hamas in Israel, which killed about 1,200 people and 251 were transported back to Gaza, according to Israel. Israel’s military campaign killed more than 66,000 people in Gaza, most of the citizens, according to Gaza health authorities.
Trump said in the preparation of the post that “more than 25,000 Hamas troops have already been killed.” Hamas rarely reveals deaths among her fighters.
