US President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that he is hoping that clashes between nuclear armed India and Pakistan are ending “very quickly”, as New Delhi’s forces began strikes and Islamabadt has pledged retaliation.

“It’s a shame, we just heard about it,” Trump told the White House, after the Indian government claimed it had hit “terrorist camps” on the Western neighbor’s territory after a deadly attack on tourists in Indian illegal occupied jam.

“I guess people knew something would happen on the basis of the past. They are struggling for many, many decades and centuries, in fact, if you really think about it,” he added.

“I just hope it finishes too quickly,” Trump said.

Meanwhile, US Department of Foreign Ministry spokesman Tammy Bruce, in a brief statement, said: “The US is closely monitoring the rapidly changing situation between Pakistan and India after the attacks by Indian forces.”

India was widely expected to respond military since Gunmen fired 26 people at Iiojk.

International Relations Director General (ISPR), General Manager LT Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, said early Wednesday that at least eight Pakistanis witnessed and were injured in Indian rocket attacks in cities in Punjab and Azad Kashmir.

Pakistan’s Armed Forces, in retaliation strikes, destroyed three Indian Air Forces (IAF) and destroyed a Brigade.

“Pakistani Armed Forces give an appropriate response to Indian aggression,” said Director General of International Relations (ISPR).

Pakistan’s army destroyed a central office of the Indian Army, according to security sources. A rocket strike from Pakistani forces also eliminated a hostile DHundial position of the control line (LOC), the sources were added.

Indian strikes came just hours after the US Foreign Ministry’s development for a new call for calm.

“We continue to urge Pakistan and India to work on a responsible resolution that maintains long -term peace and regional stability in South Asia,” Foreign Ministry spokesman Tammy Bruce told reporters.

Her statement came after India Prime Minister Narendra Modi warned to stop water flowing beyond the border after Kashmir’s attack.
