The teenage Barca star Yamal signs a new contract by 2031

The teenage star of Barcelona Lamine Yamal signed a new contract by 2031 with the Catalan giants on Tuesday after a spectacular period.

The 17 -year -old wing is already one of the key players in the club and has helped them land a domestic line of La Liga, Copa del Rey and the Spanish Super Cup.

“Barcelona and Lamine Yamal have reached an agreement to extend its contract on June 30, 2031,” the Catalan club said in a statement.

“Lamine Yamal’s renewal is a demonstration of the stability of Barca’s work.

Spanish media reported that the New Deal is making him one of the best players in Barcelona.

After a triumph at Euro 2024 with Spain last summer, Yamal scored 18 goals and gave 25 assists in 55 games in all competitions during an impressive campaign.

Working on the right side and a huge dribbler, Yamal’s skill and speed have greatly contributed to the Barca Netting 102 championships this season as they restored the crown from Real Madrid opponents.

Yamal, who came from the La Masia Youth Academy of the Club and is often compared to Barcelona’s Great Lionel Messi, made his debut in 2023 under Xavi Hernandez in just 15.

By the end of the 2023-24 campaign had emerged as the team’s main weapon, the bright spot in a bad campaign where Barca ended on an empty hand.

After his exploitation in the euro, Yamal put Flick’s style of attack on perfection and, adding more consistency, showed that he has become one of the best players in the world.

Yamal put two brilliant semifinal performances of the Champions League against Milan’s Inter, but his team was 7-6 in total and has to wait to end European drought.

“I will keep my promise and bring (the Champions League trophy) in Barcelona. We will not stop until we get it,” Yamal promised after the game.

Despite its youth, the wing has already played over 100 times for Barcelona.

Yamal, who turns 18 in July, follows Raphinha teammate and Coach Flick in the signature of contact extensions in recent days.

Spanish media reports that his contract includes various bonuses for different achievements, including the victory of the Ballon D’Or, as well as a significant increase in earnings.

Yamal is a candidate to win the trophy for the best player in the world this year.
