Karachi:
The Federation of Pakistan of Persistent Trade and Industry (FPCCI), Atif Ikram Sheikh, welcomed the resignation of dangerous oil licenses for the clearance of introductory chemicals and petroleum industrial raw materials that fall under the ranks.
The resignation, according to a letter from the Department of Explosives on September 10, 2025, will be valid until October 23, 2025, when the FPCCI, on behalf of the overall business, industry and the Pakistan commercial community, has appreciated the very necessary intervention, according to a press release.
Atif Ikram praised the relevant people to resolve the matter, as pending missions could be cleared without further suffering or delay. However, he stressed that the explosives of the DG should involve the FPCCI for long -term and sustainable resolution of the issue.
The FPCCI SVP Saquib Fayyaz Magoon explained that there were thousands of industrial chemicals in the world, which were used as industrial raw materials and not all chemicals were treated as inflatable oil products.
He argued that the explosive department should only regulate those chemicals that suffered the definition of oil, as the rest of the chemicals had already been regulated by other relevant sections.
Magoon emphasized that due to unnecessary conditions in licensing, storage and transportation of petrochemicals, there was increasing concern about the lack of chemicals used as industrial raw materials. These issues could lead to a very negative and debilitating impact on the country’s industrial production and exports, he added.
For further action, the FPCCI VP ASIF Sakhi suggested that all important chemicals used as industrial raw materials should be correct, fair and logically classified for permanent resolution of the long -term and repetitive issue.
The explosives of the Abdul Ali Khan had previously assured the FPCCI that it would facilitate industrial importers through any permitted mechanism and leverage was available to the department. He added that the part of it was only involved with chemicals containing hydrocarbons.
During his visit to the FPCCI, the explosives of the DG had stated that chemical traders would have to collectively increase their voice under the umbrella of the top body and ensure that its central and regional offices would accommodate their real concerns.
