- Teams from India, China, Singapore, Thailand on the ground.
- Hospitals in places that strike hard to face, says the United Nations.
Bangkok: The pervades from the Myanmar earthquake continued to rise on Sunday, as foreign rescue teams and aids rushed to the poor country, where the hospitals were overwhelmed and some communities were mixed to make rescue efforts with limited resources.
The 7.7 -magnitude earthquake, one of Myanmar’s strongest in a century, threw the nation of Southeast Asia to break on Friday, leaving about 1,700 dead, 3,400 injured and more than 300 missing Sunday, the military said.
Junta chief, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, warned that the number of deaths could go up and his administration faced a difficult situation, state media reported three days after a rare call for international aid.
India, China and Thailand are among the neighbors of Myanmar who have sent relief materials and groups, along with help and staff from Malaysia, Singapore and Russia.

“The disaster was extensive and the humanitarian needs are increasing by time,” the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent said in a statement.
“With the rise of temperatures and the time of the monsoons approaching in just a few weeks, there is an urgent need to stabilize the affected communities before the emergence of secondary crises.”
The United States has pledged $ 2 million to help “through Myanmar -based humanitarian aid organizations” and stated in a statement that a Urgent reaction team from USAID, which is underway under Trump’s administration.
The disaster has accumulated more misery in Myanmar, already in chaos by a civil war has evolved from a national uprising after a 2021 military coup, removed the elected Nobel Peace Prize Government Aung San Suu Kyi.

The critical infrastructure – including bridges, highways, airports and railways – across the country of 55 million lies, slowing down humanitarian efforts, while the conflict that has abused the economy has been displaced over 3.5 million people.
In some areas near the focus, residents told Reuters that government aid was rare, letting people take care of themselves.
“It is necessary to restore transport routes as soon as possible,” Min Aung Hlaing told officials on Saturday, according to state media. “It is necessary to correct the railways and re -open airports so that rescue work is more effective.”
Prognostic modeling of the US Geological Services estimates that Myanmar’s death could eventually culminate 10,000 and losses could exceed the country’s annual economic production.
‘Without help, no rescue workers’

Hospitals in parts of central and northwestern Myanmar, including the second largest city, Mandalay and capital Naypyitaw, struggled to face an influx of injured, the UN office to coordinate humanitarian affairs said late Saturday.
The earthquake also pushed parts of neighboring Thailand, reducing a skyscraper under construction and killing 18 people throughout the capital, according to Thai authorities.
At least 76 people remained trapped under the debris of the damaged Bangkok building, where rescue operations continued for a third day, using drones and sniffer dogs to hunt for survivors.
The opposition of the Myanmar opposition, which includes remains of the previous administration, said the anti-Junta militias under its order will stop all aggressive military actions for two weeks on Sunday.
The disaster in some areas of the Upper Myanmar, such as the city of Sagaing near the epicenter of the earthquake, was extensive, resident Han Zin said.

“What we see here is the widespread disaster – many buildings have collapsed on the ground,” he said by phone, adding that much of the city was without electricity, since the disaster that hit and drinking water was exhausted.
“We have not received help and there are no rescue workers.”
Parts of a large bridge connecting the epic to the nearby Mandalay collapsed, showed satellite images, with dimensions of the colonial era immersed on the Irrawaddy river.
“With the destroyed bridges, even help from Mandalay is struggling to pass,” the Hlutwaw federal unit, a NUG political union, told Facebook.

“Food and medicines are not available and the increasing number of accidents is overwhelming by the small local hospital, which lacks the ability to deal with all patients.”
“Can you hear me shout?”
In Mandalay, many people were afraid of collapsing buildings and most could not approach or pull without heavy machinery, two humanitarian workers and two inhabitants.
“My Mandalay teams use gloves, ropes and basic kits to dig and recover people,” said one of the humanitarian workers. Reuters does not call them because of security concerns.
“There are countless trapped and still missing. The number of dead is impossible to measure at this time due to the number of trapped and unrecognized, if it is alive.”
A video shot by a Mandalay resident on Saturday and shared with Reuters showed patients in beds, some stagnant, on the ground outside an orthopedic hospital of 500 beds in the city.

Public and private healthcare facilities in Mandalay, including Mandalay General Hospital and Mandalay Medical University Departments, suffered damage to the earthquake, according to the World Health Organization (WHO).
Russian and Indian rescue workers were heading to Mandalay and many teams of Chinese, Thai and Singapore Rescue staff also arrived in the country.
In Bangkok, in the area of 33 floors of building, rescuers surrounding the crushed piles of concrete and twisted metal continued their efforts to rescue dozens of workers trapped under the ruins.
Terasak Thongmo, Thailand Police Commander, said the rescue police team was fighting against time to locate survivors, struggling to move around metal debris and sharp edges in an unstable structure.

“At the moment, our team is trying to find anyone who can be alive, in the first 72 hours. We should try to save them still alive,” he said.
Close to rescue operations, relatives and friends of missing and trapped manufacturers were waiting for news. Some broke.
“Ploy, ploy, ploy, my daughter, I’m here for you now!” A woman looked at her as she was embraced by two others. “Ploy, can you hear me call you?”
