The Indian Streaming Fancode Streaming Streaming platform has abruptly suspended its live HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) broadcasts after the attack on Pahalgam, a city in the illegally occupied Jamo and Cashmir (Iiojk)
The decision comes in the midst of escalating tensions between India and Pakistan, with the Cricket Control Council in India (BCCI) to also announce that it will not participate in any bilateral cricket series with Pakistan, citing the Pahalgam attack as a reason.
Fancode, the exclusive digital flow partner for the HBL PSL in India, had broadcast 13 matches of the continuing 10th version of the championship before ending the coverage. The platform has also removed all HBL PSL -related content, including labeling and matching videos, from its website and its applications.
Sources reported Hindustan Times That the decision was taken after the incident in Pahalgam, where the Indian authorities claimed that 26 tourists were killed in what was described as a “terrorist attack”.
The attack has caused a political fall, with India taking various diplomatic and economic steps against Pakistan.
The Indian government has announced the immediate suspension of the Indus waters with Pakistan and ordered Pakistani nationals to leave India within 48 hours. In addition, the Indian military attachment to Islamabad has been revoked and diplomatic staff is reduced to the Indian High Committee in Pakistan. India has also temporarily closed the Wagah border intersection.
In response, the Pakistani National Security Committee, chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, rejected India’s transition to suspend the water exchange treaty, pointing out the act of aggression. The Commission has warned that any further challenge would be addressed with a “strong and immediate response”, stating that the interruption of Pakistan’s water would be considered an act of war.
