Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly approaching a two-year extension of the Al-Nassr Saudi Arabic Club, a few days before his existing agreement ended.

The potential decision of the 40-year-old Portuguese captain to remain in Saudi Arabia marks a significant shift from the previous social media position, where he said “the capital is over” after the Saudi Pro League final game of Saudi in Al-Nassr.

In spite of his comments, reports Mention that Ronaldo is now completing the terms of a new deal that will see him remain in the club until at least 2027.

Ronaldo’s stay in Al-Nassr seemed uncertain when Fifa Gianni President Infantino enabled to take part in a team that participated in the upcoming Club World Cup.

However, former Manchester United star, Real Madrid and Juventus refused to participate in the tournament, citing his desire to continue his career in Saudi Arabia.

Ronaldo has enjoyed significant success with Al-Nassr since he participated in the club in January 2023, scoring 99 goals in 111 appearances and winning his second consecutive Saudi Pro League Golden Boot last season. He scored 35 goals in 41 matches in all competitions.

Along with the success of football, Ronaldo also examines future sports investments in the region, which could further consolidate his commitment to Saudi Arabia.

Earlier this week, Al-Nassr was separated by Italian director Stefano Pioli after a time when the club ends a third in the league, 13 points behind the champions Al-Ittihad.

With the departure of the coach, attention is now shifting to the expansion of Ronaldo’s contract, which could put the tone for the future ambitions of the club both inside and outside the court.
