Inconsistent Clark disappointed ahead of US Open title defence
UNITED STATES: Defending US Open champion Wyndham Clark is frustrated that he hasn’t played consistently in recent weeks and isn’t even sure why practice success isn’t being replicated in competition. And he is the fourth best golfer in the world. The 30-year-old American defends his first major crown starting Thursday at the 124th US Open at Pinehurst. “My frustration level is definitely higher than it’s been in a long time, so yeah, it’s kind of scary,” Clark said. “That’s the great thing about golf — there’s always another week. I have to believe good golf is right around the corner.”
