Rawalpindi Schools Closed as 201mm Rain Breaks a 16-Year Record

All educational institutions in Rawalpindi city were closed on Tuesday after about 200mm of rain — a 16-year record, according to the chief water engineer — pushed Nullah Lai past its 20-foot evacuation threshold. Rescue 1122 evacuated 60 people. No deaths were reported.
