Islamabad: The Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) has approved the restructuring of Pakistan’s tax regime, marking the second overhaul in 15 years. The council, headed by Chief Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar, approved splitting the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) into two entities, removing its power to formulate tax policies.
