US won’t share information on Hamas Al Shifa hospital
WASHINGTON: The United States will not share Israeli intelligence or elaborate on its own intelligence assessment that Hamas used Gaza’s Al Shifa hospital as a command center and possibly a warehouse, White House spokesman John Kirby said Thursday. The United States is confident in an assessment by its own intelligence agencies about Hamas activities in Gaza facilities, Kirby said. He declined to elaborate or provide details in recent days. The Biden administration has not declassified the US intelligence sources “because some of those same channels are being used to monitor the hostage situation,” a source familiar with the matter said.
