AI tool creates misleading Biden, tests show Trump images

Tests of a leading artificial intelligence tool allowed the creation of deceptive and incriminating images of President Joe Biden and Donald Trump, a watchdog said Wednesday, despite pledges to block fake photos of the presidential candidates ahead of the November election. Disinformation researchers fear the rampant abuse of AI-powered apps in a year of major elections around the world, thanks to multiple online tools that are cheap and easy to use and lack adequate safeguards.
